Dr Christopher Marshall was the Anaesthetist for my Procedure/Operation in the first week of August 2023. He came to see me beforehand and explained everything to me about what would happen. I really liked him and he had a very good and kind manner about him. He asked me if I had any questions to which I replied that I did. I was concerned about my 2 crowns/caps and that would be ok when the Oxygen tube was inserted into my mouth. I hopefully didn't want any damage to them. Dr Marshall said that he would take every precaution and care to make sure that they weren't damaged, which they were not. I couldn't have asked for a better Anaesthetist and found him very thorough and kind.

Both my partner and I found Dr Chris Marshall very pleasant and a good listener. He was also helpful in that he secured an extra night's stay for me to save the overnight recovery being the responsibility of my partner. Having said that other aspects of my 2-day stay were sometimes poor in that I was offered a very unpalatable sandwich of pappy white bread and reconstituted ham just before leaving recovery about 2-3pm and offered nothing else until the night shift came on when I was adequately catered for by a very pleasant lady. I suspect this shortcoming was largely down to poor organisation and nothing to do with the nursing staff. Michael Sherman, Clapham Ward, 7/8 August

I had never had an operation before and was quite nervous - Dr Marshall explained what would happen in terms of monitoring during the operation and administrating the general anesthetic. I felt more at ease.

Dr Marshall was very understanding and considerate of how nervous I was and made me feel very safe during the whole process of being anaesthetised. He was very professional and a fantastic doctor, I’m very appreciative of the care he took of me.
